Description

The iOptron HST MiniTracker Harmonic is a portable tracking system designed for astrophotography using DSLR cameras and lenses, or cameras paired with small, lightweight refractors. Its mechanical core is based on a harmonic SWG (Strain Wave Gear) drive, providing smooth, precise motion with no mechanical backlash.

Weighing only 0.79 kg, the MiniTracker can support a 4.08 kg payload. It offers four tracking speeds: sidereal, lunar, solar, and half-speed, which is particularly suitable for nightscape photography including the Milky Way.

This model includes an equatorial base, making latitude adjustment for polar alignment easy. It is also equipped with the electronic iPolar, enabling precise, computer-assisted polar alignment, ideal for astrophotographers seeking a fast and reliable setup. The CNC-machined metal body ensures excellent rigidity and stability.

The MiniTracker accepts a Vixen-style dovetail and can be mounted on a tripod with either a 3/8" or 1/4" thread. Power can be supplied via an internal Li-Poly battery, three AAA batteries, or a 5 V USB port. A side bracket is provided for the electronic iPolar, and a sighting hole allows quick initial alignment.
