Description

The Explore Scientific fork mount with tripod is purpose-built for the BT binocular series but is also compatible with most 70 to 120 mm binoculars equipped with a standard 1/4" photo thread. Its precise mechanics, continuous friction adjustment on both axes, and oversized knobs allow for smooth, controlled movement in any direction, even with heavier optical instruments.

The supplied tripod features robust 50 mm stainless steel legs and a wide aluminum head plate, ensuring excellent stability. A built-in accessory tray reinforces rigidity, and the adjustable height from 100 to 140 cm allows observers to adopt a comfortable position whether seated or standing.

Optics are quickly mounted using the included quick-release plate with two 1/4" screws. The plate’s slotted design allows for flexible positioning, and the double-clamp attachment to the mount ensures a secure, vibration-free hold. This is especially critical when observing at high magnifications.

The mount’s all-metal build effectively dampens vibrations. It offers a full 360° azimuthal range and 0–90° altitude sweep, allowing smooth tracking of any sky or terrestrial target. For transport, the tripod and mount separate easily.
