Description:
The GSO 254/1016 Newtonian Monorail is a fast f/4 imaging telescope designed for amateur astronomers seeking a powerful and precise OTA for astrophotography and visual use. The 254 mm BK7 parabolic primary mirror, with a 1016 mm focal length, delivers a wide, bright field of view perfect for large nebulae and galaxies.
The optical surfaces are enhanced with 94% high-reflectivity coatings and a durable SiO₂ protective layer. The oversized secondary mirror provides full illumination for APS-C and some larger sensors.
The robust 2" Monorail Crayford focuser slides along a steel rail for superior stability under load. The 1:10 microfocusing knob ensures accurate focusing when using imaging equipment like cameras, filter wheels, and coma correctors.
The metal tube is mounted using two tube rings and a Vixen-style dovetail. It includes a finder base and is compatible with guiding accessories.

Additional information:
Its f/4 focal ratio makes this OTA very bright and ideal for deep-sky imaging. A coma corrector is recommended for optimal image quality. Suitable for equatorial or harmonic drive mounts with a ≥15 kg imaging payload. A solid foundation for advanced astrophotography setups.
