Celestron Advanced VX C9 1/4 SC Goto Telescope

The Celestron C9.25 on the new Advanced VX GoTo mount is our recommendation for mobile astronomy. It gathers already 33% more light than an 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain at still good portability. Due to a special optical concept, the C9.25 offers a better optical performance on moon and planets. It is ideal for amateur astronomers who want to use a large aperture mobile and also still have sufficient stability

The equatorial GoTo mount AVX from Celestron:

The equatorial GoTo mount Advanced VX holds the C9.25 with very good stability. It also offers power reserves for accessories like heavy CCD cameras and guiding scopes. Due to the accurate tracking, we recommend this mount especially for astrophotography. It locates any object in the sky automatically. There are more than 40,000 objects stored in the data base. The mount is delivered with a stable stainless steel tripod which can be extended up to 1400 mm height.

♦ 15 kg maximum payload of the mount
♦ Menue language selectable
♦ Electronic polar alignment assistent for accurate alignment
♦ Autoguiding port for astrophotography

Further information about this mount can be found in the AS-VX presentation.

The advantages of the Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes:

♦ StarBright XLT coating for a brighter and contrastier image
♦ Hand-corrected optics with very good sharpness even for observing moon and planets
♦ Internal focusing with preloaded ball bearings for precise focusing
♦ Adaption of correctors, focal reducers, 2" accessories or binoviewers trouble-free possible due to wide focusing range
♦ Astrophotography with f/2 possible with the Starizone HyperStar adapter
