Tecnosky 2.5" Full Frame 1x Variable Field Flattener

Description:
The Tecnosky 2.5" 1x variable field flattener is a high-quality optical accessory designed to flatten the field of refractors for sensors up to full frame. Its two-lens optical design with full multicoating ensures excellent illumination and correction across the entire sensor field.

The flattener has an M63x1 male thread on the telescope side and a detachable M48x0.75 thread on the camera side. Removing the M48 adapter reveals an internal thread for standard 2" filters.

Its standout feature is the internal micrometric backfocus adjustment. With a built-in mechanism and side locking knob, it allows fine tuning without needing spacers, adapting to a wide range of refractors from 80 mm to 152 mm in aperture. The standard backfocus starts at 55 mm and extends up to over 78 mm.

For instance, the Tecnosky 115/800 refractor requires a 73 mm backfocus—simply extend the flattener by 18 mm (73 – 55 mm) to reach optimal spacing. For the OWL90, the target spacing is around 78.3 mm.
