Description

The Baader Morpheus® 76° (Starter) set is a premium eyepiece kit for demanding visual observers and astrophotographers. It includes three eyepieces (4.5 mm, 9 mm, 14 mm) offering a flat, distortion-free 76° true apparent field. Each eyepiece has a compact 55 mm housing optimized for binoviewing, including for users with small interpupillary distances.

The optical design features 8 elements in 5 groups, with Baader’s Phantom Coating® Group for maximum contrast, high transmission and minimal reflections. The immersive field delivers a “spacewalk” experience, and the long eye relief (~20 mm) ensures comfort for eyeglass wearers.

Each Morpheus eyepiece is equipped with dual 1.25" and 2" barrels without traditional undercuts, replaced by Slip-Protect Safety-Kerfs. The integrated 2" barrel provides a 21 mm backfocus gain. The M43 photo-thread allows camera adaptation via Hyperion T-rings for classical or afocal projection (with optional M43/SP54 ring).

Each eyepiece includes both foldable and winged eyeguards, dust caps, M43 extension ring, Hyperion/Morpheus transport case, Cordura holster, and Baader Utility Bag. Glow-in-the-dark engraving allows easy focal length identification in low light.
