DESCRIPTION

The Baader ASBF 80 mm solar filter enables safe visual observation and solar photography with binoculars or camera lenses. It features the renowned AstroSolar Safety Film OD 5.0, mounted without stress in a durable aluminum and plastic cell, preserving diffraction-limited optical performance.

One side of the filter cell is trimmed to fit closely spaced binoculars. Mounting is secured using three adjustable centering bolts and three safety straps with adhesive pads. Note: filters are sold individually; two are required for binocular use.

The filter blocks 99.999% of sunlight, transmitting true white light. It complies with safety standards for solar observation. The rigid aluminum frame features protective raised edges, adjustable hardware, and clear usage markings.
