Description

The Baader Clearglass 2" unmounted (Ø 47.4 mm, 2 mm thick) premium-grade filter is specially selected for Baader FCCT 2" filter sliders, compatible with Celestron RASA 8" and QHY cameras.
This clear glass filter serves two main functions: it enables accurate focusing when using very narrowband line filters, as it has the same mechanical thickness and does not alter the optical path; alternatively, it can act as a dust-protection filter, as in Baader’s Canon EOS T-Rings which integrate a similar glass element.

Covering the entire visible spectrum with nearly 100% transmission, it preserves light without spectral alteration. Its precision planeoptical polishing and dielectric coating ensure neutral performance with no halos, no reflections, and no ghosting. The edges are sealed against ageing to provide maximum durability. Lightweight (0.01 kg), round and unmounted, it is sold individually and is an essential accessory for astrophotography, focusing, and protecting optical systems.
