The Baader UV/IR-Cut L 2" unmounted (Ø 47.4 mm, 2 mm thick) bandpass filter is designed for optical systems ranging from f/15 to f/1.8. Removed from its housing for seamless compatibility with Baader FCCT (Filter Changer Camera Tilter) filter sliders, it is particularly suitable for RASA 8" telescopes and QHY cameras.
Providing 98% transmission across the visible spectrum (420–685 nm), it effectively blocks ultraviolet and infrared radiation that cause thermal stress and blurred stars on red-sensitive CMOS and CCD sensors. The filter enhances overall image clarity, increases contrast, and protects optical systems from IR heat.
With precision planeoptical polishing and Reflex-Blocker™ hard coatings, reflections are minimized. Life-Coat™ sealed edges ensure long-term durability and resistance against environmental stress. Fully blackened edges with a telescope-side indicator enable precise orientation. Lightweight (0.01 kg), round format (47.4 mm, 2 mm thick) and sold individually, this filter is an indispensable tool for astronomical imaging.
