Description

The Baader RGB-B 2 inch unmounted 47.4 mm filter is a blue bandpass filter optimized for modern CMOS sensors. Removed from its cell and supplied as an unmounted version, it is specially designed for use in the 2 inch filter sliders of the FCCT (Filter Changer Camera Tilter), compatible with the Celestron RASA 8" and a wide range of QHY cameras.

This blue filter covers the spectral range from 400 to 510 nm and delivers extremely high transmission in its channel. It effectively reduces stray light and reflections, ensuring superior image quality. The balanced RGB design allows subframes to be taken with identical exposure times for each channel (R, G, B), which is crucial for automated imaging and accurate astrophotographic color composition.

With Reflex-Blocker™ hard coating and planeoptical polishing, it provides unmatched anti-reflection performance. The edges are sealed with Life-Coat™ technology for maximum durability against humidity and environmental wear. Blackened edges and a telescope-side indicator in the form of a black outer rim further ensure optimal usability.

Although optimized for CMOS cameras, the RGB-B filter also works excellently with CCD sensors. With a diameter of 47.4 mm and a thickness of just 2 mm, it is a precision tool for high-quality astronomical color imaging.
