Description

The Baader RGB-R 2 inch unmounted 47.4 mm filter is a bandpass filter optimized for modern CMOS sensors. Removed from its cell and supplied as an unmounted version, it is designed to fit directly into the 2 inch filter sliders of the FCCT (Filter Changer Camera Tilter), used with the Celestron RASA 8" and various QHY cameras.

This red filter covers the spectral band from 595 to 690 nm. With extremely high transmission in its specific channel, it effectively reduces stray light and reflections. Its balanced RGB design allows subframes to be taken with identical exposure times for each channel (R, G, B), which is essential for automated imaging and precise astrophotographic color composition.

Reflex-Blocker™ hard coating on a planeoptically polished substrate ensures unmatched suppression of reflections. Sealed edges with Life-Coat™ provide long-term resistance against humidity and environmental wear. The filter edges are fully blackened, with a telescope-side orientation indicator via a black outer rim.

While optimized for CMOS cameras, the filter also performs excellently with CCD sensors. With a diameter of 47.4 mm and a thickness of just 2 mm, it is a precision tool for high-quality color imaging.
