Description

The Baader RGB-R 2 inch unmounted 47.4 mm filter is a bandpass filter optimized for modern CMOS cameras and intended for use in the 2 inch filter sliders of the FCCT (Filter Changer Camera Tilter), developed for the Celestron RASA 8" and QHY cameras. Removed from its cell and supplied as an unmounted version, it is specifically selected to fit seamlessly into the FCCT system.

This red filter covers the spectral band from 595 to 690 nm and delivers extremely high transmission in its channel, while minimizing stray light and reflections. The balanced RGB design allows identical exposure times for each channel (R, G, B), a key advantage for automated imaging sequences and astrophotographic color composition.

The Reflex-Blocker™ hard coating ensures unprecedented suppression of reflections. The filter is planeoptically polished and features sealed edges with Life-Coat™ protection, providing long-term resistance to humidity and environmental damage. All edges are blackened, and a telescope-side orientation indicator is provided via a black outer rim.

Although optimized for CMOS cameras, the filter also performs excellently with CCD technologies. With a thickness of only 2 mm and a diameter of 47.4 mm, it is a precision accessory for high-quality astrophotography.
