DESCRIPTION
The UHC/LPR 2" filter is designed to selectively block certain wavelengths produced by artificial lighting such as mercury vapor and high/low pressure sodium lamps, as well as natural skyglow caused by neutral oxygen emissions. Thanks to its advanced multilayer coatings, the filter achieves over 97% transmission across its bandpass while completely blocking common pollution lines.
Its moderate 60 nm bandpass preserves a natural image rendering while significantly improving overall contrast. The dielectric coatings are plasma-assisted and ion-beam hardened for scratch resistance and long-term durability. This filter is suitable for both visual observing and astrophotography with 4" to 11" telescopes, and performs well on larger apertures. It includes an efficient H-alpha passband at 656 nm.
