DESCRIPTION
The Sky-Watcher EQ6-R PRO is a significant upgrade to the renowned NEQ6 PRO. It offers a 20 kg imaging payload, smoother belt-driven transmission for reduced backlash and improved guiding accuracy, and a USB port for direct PC connection. Its redesigned body includes a built-in carry handle, improved latitude adjustment, and a threaded power connector for secure operation.

Equipped with the SynScan Go-To system and a database of over 42,000 celestial objects, the mount includes a SNAP port for DSLR shutter control, and PPEC (Permanent Periodic Error Correction), which avoids retraining. A polar scope is included for precise alignment. The dual saddle accepts both Vixen and Losmandy dovetails.

Its hybrid 1.8° stepper motors and 64 microstep system, combined with a 720:1 gear ratio, deliver a 0.14 arcsecond step resolution. Slewing speed reaches 4.2°/sec, and autoguiding is available from 0.125× to 1×. The EQ6-R PRO is ideal for visual observing and demanding astrophotography setups up to 20 kg.
