Description :

The iOptron CEM120 EC2 is a high-end equatorial mount designed for demanding astrophotography and observatory applications. It features high-resolution optical encoders on both the right ascension (RA) and declination (DEC) axes, paired with internal position sensors that allow the mount to retain alignment and pointing models even after power is turned off.

This configuration enables precise sidereal tracking with a typical periodic error under ±0.15 arcseconds RMS, and allows automatic resumption of sessions without realignment.

With a payload capacity of 52 kg, it supports heavy and complex imaging systems. The patented Center-Balanced Equatorial Mount (CEM) design improves weight distribution, reduces torque stress on the motors, and increases overall mechanical stability.

The CEM120 EC2 offers full connectivity (USB, RS-232, Ethernet, Wi-Fi) and is compatible with all major astrophotography platforms, including ASCOM, INDI, NINA, SkyX, MaximDL, and PHD2.
