The Baader 2" Filter Holder M48i to SP54a for DSLR (ref. 2408166) makes it easy to mount Baader 2" filters (mechanical diameter 2 inches, M48 thread, 46 mm clear aperture) onto a wide range of DSLR camera lenses. This accessory converts the astronomical M48 standard into the photographic SP54 standard, enabling the use of astronomical filters on common photo lenses.

The system relies on a main adapter (M48/SP54 filter holder), to which Hyperion DT-rings (#2958028 – #2958062) and step-up rings for larger lens threads (M67, M72, M77, M82) can be added. With these combinations, almost all DSLR lens thread diameters can be supported.

The assembly process is straightforward and secure: the SP54 adapter ring corresponding to the lens thread is first attached, followed by the M48 filter holder, and finally the Baader 2" filter is threaded on.
