Description

The Baader M54i quick changer with S54i dovetail receptor is a precision adapter designed for secure and stable mounting of heavy astrophotography accessories. It provides rotation-proof and repeatable alignment of cameras, filter wheels, or bino-viewers, while allowing easy accessory exchange.

The quick changer features an internal M54 x 0.75 female thread and an S54i dovetail receptor. A large clamping screw with a brass pressure plate ensures a safe and stable hold even under heavy loads. With a clear aperture of 54 mm, an outer diameter of 64 mm, and an optical path of only 11 mm, it integrates seamlessly into advanced optical setups.

Used together with the M54a change ring with S54a dovetail (#2958765), it forms a quick change system with high load capacity. Both parts are also available as a complete set (M54 Heavy-Duty Quick Change System, #2958766).

The M54i is supplied with one metal M54 dust cap with S54a dovetail (#2958702) for dust protection. Manufactured by Baader Planetarium, it is an essential component for secure, precise, and efficient astrophotography setups. Availability expected summer 2025.
