The Astronomik CLS Clip-Filter for Canon EOS full frame is designed to improve the observation and photography of deep-sky objects by reducing light pollution. It blocks emission lines from sodium and mercury vapor lamps, as well as natural airglow, while transmitting most visible light and H-alpha emissions. This increases the contrast between celestial objects and the sky background, making this filter ideal for astrophotography in urban areas.
Thanks to its wide passband, the CLS filter allows a substantial amount of light to pass through, minimally dimming stars. It is optimized for use with lenses or telescopes having f/3 and above aperture ratios. Astronomik's Clip-Filter system allows easy installation into the Canon EOS full frame camera body without tools or permanent modifications.
