ZWO EAF-N Electronic Automatic Focuser

Description:
As a direct evolution of the widely acclaimed ZWO EAF motor, the EAF-N (Electronic Automatic Focuser – standard version) retains all the strengths of its predecessor while offering enhanced precision and improved stability. It automates the focusing process for a wide range of telescopes, ensuring accurate and repeatable focus essential for astrophotography.

Its modular design allows for easy installation on most Crayford or rack-and-pinion focusers from brands such as Sky-Watcher, William Optics, Takahashi, FeatherTouch, and more, using the included adapters. For some telescope models, dedicated optional adapters may be required. The device connects to a computer via USB or to an ASIAIR, and is fully compatible with autofocus software through the ASCOM platform.

Electronically controlled, the focusing motor offers a step angle of 7.5° combined with a 1:128 reduction gearbox, resulting in 6144 steps per full revolution for micron-level focusing precision. The ZWO EAF-N supports loads up to 5 kg, making it suitable for both small and large imaging setups. It can be used manually with an optional hand controller (not included) or operated entirely automatically.

Please note: the EAF-N model does not include a temperature sensor or manual adjustment buttons. These features are available with the EAF-Pro version.
