DESCRIPTION
The Celestron 8” CGE dovetail bar is designed to ensure strong and reliable mounting of Celestron 8" optical tubes on mounts using the Losmandy/CGE clamping system. With a width of 100 mm, this bar offers significantly greater rigidity and stability than narrower Vixen-style dovetails, making it a preferred choice for imaging setups or heavy optical assemblies.

It is fully compatible with all types of Celestron OTAs, including Edge HD, XLT, and NexStar series. The bar attaches directly to the optical tube using the existing mounting holes, replacing the factory-installed dovetail.

This version is compatible with most mounts featuring Losmandy-style saddles, such as the Celestron CGX and CGE-Pro, Sky-Watcher EQ8, AZ-EQ6, N-EQ6, and Losmandy G11.

Note: This dovetail bar is not compatible with the Celestron CPC 800 GPS or CPC Deluxe 800 HD telescopes unless the finderscope bracket is completely removed.

Constructed from orange anodized aluminum, it combines mechanical strength and a color finish that perfectly matches the Celestron design aesthetic.
