Why choose the EQMOD cable?
The EQMOD cable was designed to make the most of the above-mentioned mounts, thanks to the open source EQMOD program.
The interface serves as a link between the computer (Windows) and the equatorial mount which allows direct control of the mount from a computer
In this way, it will be possible to access a whole series of functions that can not be accomplished with the hand control: more accurate "Go-To" pointing, guidance system (using ASCOM), satellite tracking, alignment polar, synchronization, GPS support, etc.
Compatible mounts:
The EQMOD cable is directly compatible with all EQ3-SynScan / EQ5-SynScan / HEQ5 / AZ-EQ5 / AZ-EQ6 / EQ6R / EQ8 SkyWatcher Mounts and Orion Atlas EQ-G mounts with an RJ45 port.
