DESCRIPTION
The ZWO ASI294MC Pro features the Sony IMX294 CMOS sensor with back-illuminated architecture, ensuring high sensitivity and a peak quantum efficiency of over 75%. With its HCG mode, it delivers low read noise (as low as 1.2 e⁻) while retaining excellent full well depth (63,700 e⁻), ideal for capturing both faint nebulae and bright stars with high signal-to-noise ratio.
Its dual-stage Peltier cooling lowers the sensor temperature by up to 40–45°C below ambient, dramatically reducing thermal noise during long exposures. The sealed sensor chamber and built-in 256 MB DDR3 buffer ensure reliable data transfer, even via USB 2.0.
The camera includes all necessary accessories (adapters, cables, nosepiece) and offers versatile connectivity with its 1.25" and T2 interface. A clear AR-coated glass window is provided; if IR blocking is needed, an additional IR-cut filter is required.
