Description:
The ZWO 0.7x focal reducer is an advanced optical accessory designed specifically for the FF107 (107 mm, F/7) and FF130 (130 mm, F/7.7) ZWO apochromatic refractors. It not only shortens the focal length but also acts as a field flattener, delivering pinpoint stars across the entire imaging field.
With the FF107, focal length drops from 749 mm to 524 mm (F/4.9). With the FF130, it goes from 1000 mm to 700 mm (F/5.4). This translates into a faster imaging system and a wider field of view—perfect for deep sky photography.
The reducer consists of three optical elements, including one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element, and is fully multi-coated on all surfaces to reduce reflections and enhance light transmission.
Mechanically, it inserts directly into the 80 mm focuser drawtube of the FF telescopes. On the camera side, it features a male M68 x 1 mm thread and includes two adapter rings to switch to M54 x 0.75 mm or M48 x 0.75 mm. The recommended backfocus is 55 mm from the M48 thread.
