Everyone knows that the worst enemy of Schmidt Cassegrain telescopes is the humidity that settles on the Schmid corrector. If the corrector is covered in steam, there is nothing to do but dismantle everything and go home.
A simple dew cap, classic often helps but is not always. Sometimes, when the air condition is loaded with moisture and the air temperature is low you should also add a heated band ....
with the dew cap Tecnosky, we have both in one product; It is made of sturdy and flexible plastic, lined with black anti-reflective velvet and a wide band of Velcro that allows to block it on the tube.
At the height of the corrective glass is placed a heating tape that can be powered in 12v (with optional power supply or cigarette lighter cable). A regulator and a digital thermometer make it possible to vary the temperature according to the humidity present in the air (delivered with the dew cap)
There are 3 models available for C8, C9 and C11 (also the HD tube), depending on the diameter that can be adapted to other optical tubes
